A Joint Lecture on Belgian Refugees in Wales and Rhyl

Welsh communities welcomed 4,500 Belgian refugees through WW1. Leading UK researcher, Dr. Christophe Declercq, one of the UK’s leading experts on the topic from UCL and the Amsab-ISH / University of Ghent, shares his fascinating research about treasures left behind and still valued in Wales today, whilst Antoni Vitti gives the story of the welcome in Rhyl, as shared on the website “Belgian Refugees in Rhyl”.
