Lance Sergeant Walter Price Roberts.

Following our article “some corner of a foreign field” and the subsequent article in the Daily Post, Walter Price Roberts’s nephew, Mr Clive Jones of Rhyl, has made contact and has kindly provided us with a photograph of Walter.

Thanks to Diane Gassman in Italy for caring for Walter’s grave and contacting History Points.  Thanks to History Points for passing the enquiry to Rhyl History Club.  Thanks to the Daily Post for publishing the article.  Walter’s nephew is amazed and pleased that the connection has been made, and has said that he would like visit Walter’s grave in the near future.

What a heartwarming story.  To read more about Rhyl memorials, read the History Points Christmas newsletter.
