Fire at Rhydwen Jones and Davies Depot.

The  photograph below shows a fire at the Rhydwen Jones depot which apparently stood on the corner of John Street and Crescent Road, where the Drill Hall now stands.  Preliminary research has failed to come up with any more information, can someone out there can help?

The second photograph shows the Rhydwen Jones Steam Traction Engine.  Again, little information is known about the photograph.

Hopefully someone will be able to provide more information.  Many thanks to Lynne Maxwell for sharing these photographs with us.

Thanks to both Lynne and Trevor who have each sent in these photos which make it clear where the depot was:

It is interesting that the T.A.Drill Hall site is mentioned as although Rhydwen Jones and Davies started in 1851 the Drill Hall in John Street has a date of 1914 on it. Another conundrum to that site, for a warehouse of that size, are the buildings in the background and the huge grass area in foreground, makes me dubious.
