History being made.

July 4th 2013.  The new pedestrian and cycle bridge, Pont y Ddraig, had its second deck added today.  Crowds gathered to watch the exciting spectacle.   Four photographs taken today are shown below, but click here for more great images:

    it look a mess and money could be better spent on health. dont know why people cant walk around over existing Blue Bridge – walking and cycling are good for our health and this is removing a chunk of it . very poor for health .

    “The bridge will close the gap in National Cycle Network 5 which runs along the North Wales coastline. I understand that the funding for the bridge was a Heritage Lottery Grant via Sustrans. It does look a bit messy at the moment but I’m sure it will be a bridge to be proud of once it’s finished” – Editor
