    Tudor HUGHES Private; PPLI
    My great-uncle Tudor Foulkes Hughes, Private with the Princess Patricia Light Infantry killed May 1915. He was also in the Boar War, a Private with the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, First Service Company, 20th. Battalion., Reg. No. 7345. He was born in Rhyl Nov. 28, 1881 to Robert Foulkes Hughes and Mary Ellen (Evans) Hughes.

    My great-uncle Vernon Rhydwen JONES Reg. No. 622041 Armourer Quartermaster Sergeant; 44th Bn. Canadian Infantry. Killed March 31, 1917 in the trenches of Souchez, Pas de Calais, France. He is buried in Villers Station Cemetery, Villers-au-Bois, Pas de Calais, France. He was the son of John William and Sarah Anne (Hughes) Jones, 15 Gronant Street, Rhyl. (1901 Census). In 1911, they were living at Kensington Cottage, South Kinmel St., Rhyl. He was the husband of Eva (Hughes) Jones and father of Cyril John Jones. Vernon was born Sept. 13, 1879 in Rhyl. His wife was born Jan. 9, 1880 in Rhyl.
