  1. Robin’s Corner Cafe has recently been sympathetically refurbished. My mum says that in the 1930’s ordinary people could only look through the window – it was silver service and the waitresses were dressed in black and white.

    Picture with Robin’s cafe centre,brings back fond memories of how Rhyl was/should be/but regretably not ‘could be’ any more. Biggest change is from top of Vale Road Bridge pre 1925 and today!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Good to see this picture – around mid-1950s, I estimate. The Corner Cafe was built from properties 14 and 15, West Parade in 1933. Robins’ Corner Cafe was run by my family until 1960 when it was sold to Mr Trehearn of the Savoy Cafe (on the opposite corner of Queen Street).
